Final commissioning on the Binder Boiler and Javo Top Loader is taking place today at our site in Swansea. Once operational the boiler will provide heat to the main buildings warehouse and production areas as well offices. 14 Fan heaters have been installed as part of our works along with over 1.5km of pipe work.
No one of eight 500kW fan heat exchangers being fitted, two per boiler. These will supply the hot air for the drying floors below.
Work begins on assembling the boilers that arrived at the beginning of the week with the support of Strong Energy Group.
Positioning the tanks in the existing building was a difficult task due to their size and the tight access. Aston Cord Energy Services enlisted the expert lifting team at King Lifting to support us with this part of the project. Using two versa lifts we were able to position all four cylinders in the tight space ready to be piped up. Each tank will hold 20,000 litres of hot water supplying heat for 8 drying floors. The four biomass boilers will arrive this week.
